44TH LEGISLATURE - STATE OF NEW MEXICO - FIRST SESSION, 1999

REQUESTING THE STATE HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION AND THE GENERAL SERVICES DEPARTMENTS TO COOPERATE WITH VALENCIA COUNTY TO IDENTIFY LAND THAT CAN BE USED TO RELOCATE THE EL CERRO FIRE STATION.

WHEREAS, Valencia county is seeking a site on which to construct a fire station in the El Cerro area; and

WHEREAS, that county would like the state highway and transportation department and the general services department to help the county identify acceptable state land on which the El Cerro fire station can be relocated and constructed;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that the state highway and transportation department and the general services department be requested to work with Valencia county in identifying appropriate land on which the El Cerro fire station can be relocated and a new building constructed; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this memorial be transmitted to the state highway and transportation department, the general services department and the manager of Valencia county.
