44TH LEGISLATURE - STATE OF NEW MEXICO - FIRST SESSION, 1999

REQUESTING THE STATE HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT TO DONATE THE SITE OF ITS OLD MAINTENANCE YARD TO THE VILLAGE OF EAGLE NEST.

WHEREAS, the state highway and transportation department has a new maintenance yard as a result of money appropriated in fiscal year 1999; and

WHEREAS, the site inside the village of Eagle Nest is no longer being used by the department; and

WHEREAS, the site could be of great benefit to the village of Eagle Nest;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that the state highway and transportation department be requested to donate its old maintenance yard to the village of Eagle Nest for the purpose of a school yard and park playground; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this memorial be transmitted to the secretary of highway and transportation.
