Mr. Speaker:

Your CONSUMER AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE JOINT MEMORIAL 10

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 2, strike line 1 and insert in lieu thereof the following:

"applauded for its successful efforts in providing family planning services to nearly five thousand five hundred needy families since July 1, 1998; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the department be encouraged to redouble its efforts, particularly in the outreach aspects of the family planning program, so that those most in need will learn of and be able to take advantage of these services; and".,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS & FINANCE COMMITTEE.
