Synopsis of Bill



The bill proposes creation of a "Commission on Insurance Legislation" to educate, inform and nationally represent legislators on matters of insurance and insurance regulation. The Legislative Council would appoint three members from the Senate and three members from the House to serve on the Commission for two-year terms. The Commission would report annually to the Legislative Council.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS



The bill appropriates no funds for reimbursement of Commission members under the provisions of the state's Per Diem and Mileage Act.
