Synopsis of Bill



Senate Bill 121 amends Section 34-6-4 NMSA 1978 to require that one of the seven district judges in the First Judicial District maintain his or her principal office in Rio Arriba county.



Significant Issues



Senate Bill 121 would require the First District Court to incur the costs of moving one judgeship out of the Santa Fe offices and establish an office in Rio Arriba county. The bill does not include an appropriation for these costs.
