SUMMARY



Synopsis of Bill



House Bill 484 appropriates $146.1 from the general fund to the State Agency on Aging for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for operating the Eagle Nest Senior Citizens Program.



Significant Issues



According to the Agency, the funds would be contracted to the North Central New Mexico Area Agency on Aging (NCNMAAA). In addition, the Agency indicates that $93.8 has been included in a Legislative Request Package from the NCNMAAA.



FISCAL IMPLICATIONS



The bill appropriates $146.1 from the general fund in fiscal year 2000. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 will revert to the general fund.



ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS



The Agency indicates there are no administrative implications. The Agency will be able to absorb the activities associated with this appropriation within their existing capacity.
