HOUSE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 719

44TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 1999

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN TORRANCE COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state highway and transportation department

six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) for road repairs and equipment in Torrance county; and

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

ninety-nine thousand dollars ($99,000) to expand facilities at the Torrance county fairgrounds, including the addition of bathrooms, concession stands and exhibit barns in Torrance county;

two hundred thirty thousand dollars ($230,000) to purchase and equip vehicles for the sheriff's department in Torrance county;

eighteen thousand dollars ($18,000) to purchase and install a repeater for communication and emergency services for the Duran volunteer fire department in Torrance county;

one hundred seventy thousand dollars ($170,000) to purchase a truck for the northeast Torrance volunteer fire department in Torrance county;

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to purchase a tanker pumper for the McIntosh volunteer fire department in Torrance county; and

one million fifty-seven thousand dollars ($1,057,000) to plan, design, construct and acquire land for a judicial complex in Torrance county.
