44TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 1999

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS FOR THE MESA VISTA CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT IN

RIO ARRIBA AND TAOS COUNTIES.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state department of public education

one million dollars ($1,000,000) to plan, design and construct a multipurpose facility at the El Rito elementary school in Rio Arriba county;

four hundred fifteen thousand dollars ($415,000) to plan, design and construct a counseling health service center for the Mesa Vista middle and high schools in Taos county;

eight hundred fifty thousand dollars ($850,000) to construct a library facility for the Mesa Vista middle and high schools in Taos county; and

five hundred fifty-one thousand dollars ($551,000) for improvements to the Mesa Vista school district, to comply with uniform building codes and to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, in Taos county.
