AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND MEDICAID PARTICIPATION FOR CERTAIN HANDICAPPED AND DISABLED INDIVIDUALS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of funding medicaid participation for handicapped and disabled individuals not otherwise eligible. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
