Mr. President:

Your CONFERENCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

has had it under consideration and reports same with the following recommendations:

1. Item 1 of House Floor Amendment No. 1 be APPROVED.

2. Item 2 of House Floor Amendment No. 1 be DISAPPROVED.

3. The following senate corporations and transportation committee amendments be APPROVED:

Nos. 2, 3 and 4.

4. The following senate corporations and transportation committee amendments be DISAPPROVED:

Nos. 1 and 5.

and that the bill be amended further as follows:

5. On page 1, line 25, after "66" insert ", contingent upon funding pursuant to the federal Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century, the National Scenic Byways Program and other sources".

6. On page 2, line 1, after "department" insert ", working with the New Mexico route 66 association and the New Mexico route 66 scenic byway coordinator in the economic development department, shall add the secondary designation "New Mexico Route 66" to all official maps of the state of New Mexico and" and strike "replacement" and insert in lieu thereof "addition".
