MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE TRAINING FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SAFE SCHOOL PLANS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of providing training opportunities to school staff, community members and students to implement safe school plans. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
