MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A PILOT PROJECT THAT PROVIDES FULL-TIME COURT ADVOCATES FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($175,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for a pilot project that would provide four full-time court advocates for domestic violence victims in Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel and Santa Fe counties. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
