Mr. Speaker:

Your CONSUMER AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 812

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 19, line 10, strike "sixty graduate hours or more" and insert in lieu thereof "no less then forty-eight graduate hours in the mental health clinical core curriculum".

2. On page 39, between lines 18 and 19, insert the following new section:

"Section 20. Section 61-9A-30 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1993, Chapter 49, Section 30) is amended to read:

"61-9A-30. TERMINATION OF AGENCY LIFE--DELAYED REPEAL.--The counseling and therapy practice board is terminated on July 1, [1999] 2005 pursuant to the provisions of the Sunset Act. The board shall continue to operate according to the provisions of the Counseling and Therapy Practice Act until July 1, [2000] 2006. Effective July 1, [2000] 2006, the Counseling and Therapy Practice Act is repealed."".

3. Renumber the succeeding sections accordingly.,

and thence referred to the BUSINESS & INDUSTRY COMMITTEE.
