Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 806

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 2, line 12, strike "and".

2. On page 2, line 14, strike "education." and insert in lieu thereof "education; and".

3. On page 2, between lines 14 and 15, insert a new subparagraph "(9) three teachers appointed jointly by the national education association-New Mexico and New Mexico federation of teachers."

4. On page 4, line 5, strike "preceding each session" and insert in lieu thereof "before the next legislative session. The task force's mandate will expire on January 03, 2000.".,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
