AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO SMALL FARMS IN NORTHERN NEW MEXICO TO COMPLY WITH ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS FOR FOOD PRODUCTION.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of supporting the New Mexico department of agriculture in providing technical assistance and technology transfer to small farms in northern New Mexico for their compliance with environmental requirements in food production. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
