MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PLAN AND DEVELOP A SCHOOL-DISTRICT- OWNED TEACHER HOUSING PROGRAM IN SANTA FE COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 to plan and develop a school-district-owned teacher housing program in the Santa Fe public school district. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
