AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND THE HOUSING SUBSIDY PROVIDED IN THE NEW MEXICO WORKS ACT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty million dollars ($20,000,000) is appropriated from the temporary assistance for needy families block grant to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal years 2000-2001 for the purpose of funding the housing subsidy provided in the New Mexico Works Act. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the temporary assistance for needy families block grant.
