AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A STATEWIDE SAFE WATER PROGRAM FOR INDIGENT AND LOW-INCOME PERSONS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 to support a statewide safe water assistance program through regional community action agencies for indigent and low-income persons. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
