AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR INCREASED MENTAL HEALTH CARE IN SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of providing or contracting for increased mental health services in southern New Mexico, including in-patient services, a mobile crisis intervention team and additional crisis shelter beds. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
