AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MEDICATION AIDES PROGRAM TO REDUCE COSTS OF CARE FOR DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED PERSONS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of implementing the statewide certified medication aides program under the developmentally disabled medicaid waiver services. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
