AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC EDUCATION FOR THE ADVENTURES IN SUPERCOMPUTING PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($175,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of funding the adventures in supercomputing program, which shall include a full-time statewide coordinator, planning of expositions and workshops, maintenance of an internet server and provision of curricular support. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
