Honorable President and Members of the Senate:

I have this day VETOED and am returning SENATE BILL 356, enacted by the Forty-Fourth Legislature, First Session, 1999.

This legislation amends the New Mexico Works Act to require that certain participant assessments be conducted. This legislation is unnecessary since these assessments are presently being effectively managed within existing state and federal laws and regulations.
