0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A SCHOOL YOUTH COUNSELING PROGRAM;

0012|     DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Ten thousand dollars
    |
0016|     ($10,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office
    |
0017|     of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 1999 for an
    |
0018|     acquired immune deficiency syndrome counseling program for
    |
0019|     youth attending school in the Shiprock school district.  Any
    |
0020|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0021|     fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0022|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0023|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect
    |
0024|     immediately.
