0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO PROVIDE

0012|     SERVICES TO NEW CLIENTS UNDER THE WAIVER PROGRAM FOR

0013|     DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED PERSONS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars
    |
0017|     ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0018|     department of health for expenditure in fiscal years 1998 and
    |
0019|     1999 to provide services for new clients not currently
    |
0020|     enrolled in the waiver program for developmentally disabled
    |
0021|     persons. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
    |
0022|     the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0023|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0024|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect
    |
0025|     immediately.
