0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR LITIGATION COSTS OF THE NINTH

0012|     JUDICIAL DISTRICT ATTORNEY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-three thousand one
    |
0016|     hundred dollars ($23,100) is appropriated from the general
    |
0017|     fund to the ninth judicial district attorney for expenditure
    |
0018|     in fiscal year 1998 for litigation costs in the prosecution of
    |
0019|     a conflict case for the fifth judicial district attorney.  Any
    |
0020|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0021|     fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0022|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0023|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect
    |
0024|     immediately.
