0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES

0012|     DEPARTMENT TO PROVIDE SERVICES AND PROGRAMS FOR TROUBLED

0013|     CHILDREN OF FAMILIES IN NEED OF SERVICES; DECLARING AN

0014|     EMERGENCY.

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars
    |
0018|     ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0019|     children, youth and families department for expenditure in
    |
0020|     fiscal year 1999 for the purpose of providing services and
    |
0021|     programs for troubled children of families in need of
    |
0022|     services.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
    |
0023|     the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0024|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0025|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect
    |
