0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR JUDGE PRO TEMPORE SERVICES IN THE

0012|     FIFTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Five thousand four hundred
    |
0016|     dollars ($5,400) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0017|     fifth judicial district court for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0018|     1998 for judge pro tempore services rendered in fiscal year
    |
0019|     1997 in the <u>State</u> v. <u>Lewis</u> water adjudication suit.  Any
    |
0020|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0021|     fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0022|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0023|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect
    |
0024|     immediately.
