0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR INTERIM LEGISLATIVE EXPENSES;
    |
0012|     DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Eight hundred eighty-six
    |
0016|     thousand dollars ($886,000) from the general fund and two
    |
0017|     hundred seventy-four thousand dollars ($274,000) from the
    |
0018|     legislative council service cash balances are appropriated to
    |
0019|     the legislative council service for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0020|     1999 for interim expenses, including a leadership staff pilot
    |
0021|     project conducted under the aegis of the legislative council
    |
0022|     service.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
    |
0023|     the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0024|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0025|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
