0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ASSIST LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS TO

0012|     CONSERVE ENERGY THROUGH HOME WEATHERIZATION.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One million dollars
    |
0016|     ($1,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0017|     department of finance and administration for expenditure in
    |
0018|     fiscal year 1999 for the purpose of contracting for the
    |
0019|     weatherization of homes of persons whose incomes are at or
    |
0020|     below one hundred twenty-five percent of the federal income
    |
0021|     poverty guideline, in order to conserve energy.  Any
    |
0022|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0023|     fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
