0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE PUBLIC

0012|     SCHOOL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FUND; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Six million one hundred
    |
0016|     thousand dollars ($6,100,000) is appropriated from the general
    |
0017|     fund to the public school capital improvements fund for
    |
0018|     expenditure in fiscal year 1998 and subsequent fiscal years
    |
0019|     for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of the Public
    |
0020|     School Capital Improvements Act.  Any unexpended or
    |
0021|     unencumbered balance remaining in the fund at the end of
    |
0022|     fiscal year 1998 shall not revert to the general fund.
    |
0023|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0024|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect
    |
0025|     immediately.
