0011|     RELATING TO DISTRICT ATTORNEYS; INCREASING THE SALARIES OF

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  Section 36-1-6 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1976
    |
0016|     (S.S.), Chapter 18, Section 1, as amended) is amended to read:
    |
0017|          "36-1-6.  DISTRICT ATTORNEYS--SALARIES.--
    |
0018|               A.  Except as provided in Subsection B of this
    |
0019|     section, district attorneys shall receive an annual salary of
    |
0020|     ~[seventy thousand two hundred sixty-five dollars ($70,265)]~
    |
0021|     |seventy-two thousand seven hundred twenty-five dollars
    |
0022|     ($72,725)|.
    |
0023|               B.  District attorneys who serve in a district that
    |
0024|     includes a class A county within the district shall receive an
    |
0025|     annual salary of ~[seventy-three thousand nine hundred sixty-
    |
