FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN CHAMA IN RIO ARRIBA COUNTY.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be
funded:

                    to the department of environment:
          
                    four hundred forty-two thousand dollars ($442,000) to
          implement certain critical water supply improvements
          for the village of Chama, including compensating the
          village for constructing and equipping its water
          treatment plant and for the purchase and installation
          of its residential and commercial water meters; and

                    to the local government division of the department of
          finance and administration:
     
                    seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to conduct a
          preliminary architectural study and design of a
          municipal complex to house public offices, youth, adult
          and senior adult recreational facilities and a new
          computer learning center in the village of Chama in Rio
          Arriba county.
