            43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998

                           REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES IN SIERRA
COUNTY.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

                    to the local government division of the department of finance and administration:

          A.  three hundred ninety-eight thousand dollars ($398,000) to complete the
relocation of the emergency management operations center of the Truth or Consequences fire
department in Sierra county;

          B.  three hundred fifty-five thousand dollars ($355,000) to make improvements
at the Louis Armijo recreation complex in the city of Truth or Consequences in Sierra county;

                    to the department of environment:

                    two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to design, construct and inspect
          wastewater system improvements in the city of Truth or Consequences in Sierra
          county; and

                    to the state agency on aging:

                    six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) to expand the meal site and make
          improvements to the activity center on Fourth street in the city of Truth or
          Consequences in Sierra county.
