FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN SENATE DISTRICT 8 IN DE BACA COUNTY.
I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:
to the office of cultural affairs:
three million two hundred thirty-five thousand dollars ($3,235,000) to plan,
design, construct, equip, develop the site for and landscape the Bosque Redondo
memorial and museum in Fort Sumner in De Baca county;
to the department of environment:
one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to improve the water system in Fort

Sumner in De Baca county;
to the local government division of the department of finance and administration:
A. two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to purchase heavy equipment
for De Baca county; and
B. forty thousand dollars ($40,000) to purchase a motor grader for Fort Sumner
in De Baca county;
to the state highway and transportation department:
twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) to improve the roads, including chipping
and sealing, in Fort Sumner in De Baca county;
to the state department of public education:
A. twenty-seven thousand dollars ($27,000) for upgrades recommended by the
fire marshal at Fort Sumner municipal schools in De Baca county;
B. two hundred ten thousand dollars ($210,000) for heating and cooling systems
for the secondary school at Fort Sumner municipal schools in De Baca county;

C. twenty-two thousand five hundred dollars ($22,500) to renovate the home
economics building at Fort Sumner municipal schools in De Baca county;
D. four hundred twenty thousand dollars ($420,000) to replace the cafeteria
equipment at Fort Sumner municipal school in De Baca county;
E. two million four hundred seven thousand two hundred dollars ($2,407,200)
to plan, design or construct a library and vocational-technology complex at Fort Sumner
municipal schools in De Baca county;
F. five hundred fifty-two thousand six hundred fifty dollars ($552,650) for the
addition of two learning areas at the elementary school at Fort Sumner municipal schools in De
Baca county; and
G. one million four hundred thousand two hundred dollars ($1,400,200) to
plan, design or construct a multipurpose facility at the Fort Sumner municipal schools in De
Baca county.
