HOUSE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 487 STATE OF NEW MEXICO 43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998 REQUESTED BY JERRY LEE ALWIN FOR A TOURISM CENTER TO ENCOURAGE TOURISTS TO VISIT THE TURQUOISE TRAIL AND OLD ROUTE 66. I request that the following capital outlay project be funded: to the tourism department twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) to assist the East Mountain chamber of commerce in establishing and equipping an office to disseminate information about tourism attractions on the Turquoise Trail and old Route 66, including the communities of Cerrillos, - 1 - Madrid, Golden, Sandia Knolls, Sandia Park, Cedarcrest and Tijeras.
