HOUSE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 132 
                                
                      STATE OF NEW MEXICO
            43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998

                           REQUESTED BY

FOR HOUSE DISTRICT 25 CAPITAL PROJECTS.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

                    to the local government division of the department of finance and administration:

          A.  eight hundred fifty thousand dollars ($850,000) to acquire, develop and
construct improvements to a three-acre Bel Air area park on Phoenix in Albuquerque in
Bernalillo county;

          B.  two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to renovate and construct
improvements to Comanche south park baseball fields, including irrigation, parking, fencing,
entryway and disabilities access and code compliance, in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county;

          C.  one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to continue design and renovation
of the Korean war veterans park in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; and
     
          D.  two hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($275,000) to complete
construction of the McKinley community center; and

                    to the state department of public education:

          A.  fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to purchase and install computer technology
enhancements, including accessories, at Montezuma elementary school in Albuquerque in
Bernalillo county; and

          B.  five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to purchase, install and make
repairs to the Hodgin elementary school heating, cooling and ventilation systems.
