0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR TELEVISION EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT

0012|     AT CERTAIN NEW MEXICO INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION;

0013|     DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One million three hundred
    |
0017|     twenty-seven thousand four hundred fifty-one dollars
    |
0018|     ($1,327,451) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0019|     educational television equipment replacement fund for
    |
0020|     expenditure in fiscal year 1998 and subsequent fiscal years
    |
0021|     for the purpose of replacing obsolete television equipment at
    |
0022|     the KNME-TV, KENW-TV and KRWG-TV educational television
    |
0023|     stations.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
    |
0024|     the end of any fiscal year shall remain in the educational
    |
0025|     television equipment replacement fund as provided in Section
    |

0002|          Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public

0003|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect
    |
0004|     immediately.
