0011|     MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR AN EXTENDED LEARNING INITIATIVE IN

0012|     ROSWELL.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATIONS.--
    |
0016|               A.  Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is
    |
0017|     appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of
    |
0018|     eastern New Mexico university for expenditure in fiscal years
    |
0019|     1998 through 2000 to provide connectivity between New Mexico
    |
0020|     state university and the eastern New Mexico university Roswell
    |
0021|     and Portales campuses and to develop with New Mexico state
    |
0022|     university a distance learning initiative to deliver a
    |
0023|     graduate social work program in Roswell.  Any unexpended or
    |
0024|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000
    |
0025|     shall revert to the general fund.

0001|               B.  Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is

0003|     military affairs for expenditure in fiscal years 1998 through
    |
0004|     2000 to bring New Mexico state university online with the
    |
0005|     Roswell and Portales campuses of eastern New Mexico university
    |
0006|     through the technology resources of the national guard
    |
0007|     armories and the radio communications bureau of the general
    |
0008|     services department.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0009|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the
    |
0010|     general fund.
