0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE OR CONTRACT FOR THE

0012|     PROVISION OF CANCER PATIENT SUPPORT SERVICES.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars
    |
0016|     ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0017|     department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 1999 for
    |
0018|     the purpose of providing or contracting for the provision of
    |
0019|     community-based cancer patient support services that include
    |
0020|     education, one-to-one matching with cancer veterans,
    |
0021|     survivorship mentoring and publications.  These services shall
    |
0022|     be available to cancer patients suffering any type of cancer. 
    |
0023|     Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0024|     fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
