0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES

0012|     DEPARTMENT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A PROGRAM

0013|     OF MEDICAL DAYCARE SERVICES FOR CHILD CARE OF SICK CHILDREN OF

0014|     WORKING PARENTS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0017|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Two million four hundred
    |
0018|     thousand dollars ($2,400,000) is appropriated from the general
    |
0019|     fund to the children, youth and families department for
    |
0020|     expenditure in fiscal years 1998 and 1999 for the purpose of
    |
0021|     developing and implementing a program of medical daycare
    |
0022|     services for child care of sick children of working parents. 
    |
0023|     Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0024|     fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0025|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
