MEDICAID MANAGED CARE--REGIONALIZATION | 0016| REQUIRED.--After July 1, 1998, any medicaid managed care | 0017| contract entered into by the human services department or any | 0018| other state agency shall not permit the provider to offer | 0019| services on a statewide basis, but must require the provider | 0020| to offer services only in a specific geographic region of the | 0021| state. A provider may provide services in more than one | 0022| region in the state. This regionalization of the medicaid | 0023| managed care program shall be structured by the department to | 0024| achieve maximum cost savings in the program's operation and | 0025| shall be designed to protect the operations and effective use |
