0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO INCREASE PARTICIPATION OF DISABLED

0012|     PEOPLE IN COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars
    |
0016|     ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0017|     governor's committee on concerns of the handicapped for
    |
0018|     expenditure in fiscal year 1999 to provide grants to local
    |
0019|     governments and nonprofit organizations to establish or
    |
0020|     enhance programs that encourage and enable disabled people to
    |
0021|     participate in the social and economic life of their
    |
0022|     communities.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining
    |
0023|     at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general
    |
0024|     fund.
