0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF

0012|     TELEVISIONS AND RELATED EQUIPMENT ON CERTAIN SCHOOL BUSES.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars
    |
0016|     ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state
    |
0017|     department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0018|     1998 for the purpose of purchasing and installing televisions
    |
0019|     and video cassette recorders in school buses that transport
    |
0020|     children more than fifty miles one way to school to provide
    |
0021|     educational opportunities during that time.  Any unexpended or
    |
0022|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998
    |
0023|     shall revert to the general fund.
