0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR CHILD AND FAMILY COUNSELING

0012|     SERVICES RELATED TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE THROUGH THE CROWNPOINT

0013|     HEALTH CARE FACILITY IN MCKINLEY COUNTY; DECLARING AN

0014|     EMERGENCY.

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand
    |
0018|     dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0019|     mental health division of the department of health for
    |
0020|     expenditure in fiscal years 1997 and 1998 for the purpose of
    |
0021|     providing child and family counseling services related to
    |
0022|     domestic violence, including a twenty-four-hour crisis hotline,
    |
0023|     through the Crownpoint health care facility located in McKinley
    |
0024|     county.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
    |
0025|     the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0001|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0002|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
