0012| RELATING TO WELFARE REFORM; PROVIDING THAT LEGAL IMMIGRANTS AND

0013| UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS RECEIVE CERTAIN SERVICES.

0015| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016| Section 1. SOCIAL AND EDUCATION SERVICES--PROVIDED TO
|
0017| LEGAL AND UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS.--
|
0018| A. Legal immigrants shall be eligible to receive
|
0019| the following services and programs from the state:
|
0020| (1) emergency medical and health services;
|
0021| (2) Title 20 social services;
|
0022| (3) state child care assistance;
|
0023| (4) women, infants and children nutrition
|
0024| programs and other commodity benefits; and
|
0025| (5) child and adult care food programs.

0001| B. Undocumented immigrants shall be eligible to
|
0002| receive health services from the state.
|
0003| C. Immigrants may participate in the child and
|
0004| adult care food program administered by the children, youth and
|
0005| families department. The state shall opt out of enforcing
|
0006| immigration restrictions on participation in the program.
