0011| RELATING TO WELFARE REFORM; PROVIDING THAT LEGAL IMMIGRANTS AND

0012| UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS RECEIVE CERTAIN SERVICES.

0014| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0015| Section 1. SOCIAL AND EDUCATION SERVICES--PROVIDED TO
|
0016| LEGAL AND UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS.--
|
0017| A. Legal immigrants shall be eligible to receive
|
0018| the following services and programs from the state:
|
0019| (1) medicaid;
|
0020| (2) temporary assistance to needy families;
|
0021| (3) Title 20 social services;
|
0022| (4) state and federal child care assistance;
|
0023| and
|
0024| (5) women, infants and children nutrition
|
0025| programs and other commodity benefits.
|
0001| B. Undocumented immigrants shall be eligible to
|
0002| receive the following services and programs from the state:
|
0003| (1) health services; and
|
0004| (2) public school education.

0020| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0021| Section 1. SOCIAL AND EDUCATION SERVICES--PROVIDED TO

0022| LEGAL AND UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS.--
|
0023| A. Legal immigrants shall be eligible to receive the
|
0024| following services and programs from the state:
|
0025| (1) emergency medical and health services;
|
0001| (2) Title 20 social services;
|
0002| (3) state child care assistance;
|
0003| (4) women, infants and children nutrition
|
0004| programs and other commodity benefits; and
|
0005| (5) child and adult care food programs.
|
0006| B. Undocumented immigrants shall be eligible to
|
0007| receive health services from the state.
|
0008| C. Immigrants may participate in the child and adult
|
0009| care food program administered by the children, youth and
|
0010| families department. The state shall opt out of enforcing
|
0011| immigration restrictions on participation in the program.
