0011| MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE EDUCATION AND SUPPORT

0012| SERVICES FOR AT-RISK YOUTH IN THE CITY OF LAS CRUCES IN DONA

0013| ANA COUNTY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0015| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016| Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars
|
0017| ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local
|
0018| government division of the department of finance and
|
0019| administration for expenditure in fiscal years 1997 and 1998
|
0020| for the purpose of providing a match to Americorps funding to
|
0021| provide education and support services to at-risk youth in the
|
0022| city of Las Cruces in Dona Ana county. Any unexpended or
|
0023| unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998
|
0024| shall revert to the general fund.
|
0025| Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
|
0001| peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
