0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONDUCT A STUDY OF THE FEASIBILITY

0012|     OF CONSTRUCTING AN ADDITIONAL MIDDLE SCHOOL IN ESPANOLA;

0013|     DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Thirty thousand dollars
    |
0017|     ($30,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state
    |
0018|     department of public education for expenditure in fiscal years
    |
0019|     1997 and 1998 for the purpose of conducting a study to
    |
0020|     determine the feasibility of constructing an additional middle
    |
0021|     school in Espanola.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0022|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the
    |
0023|     general fund.
    |
0024|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0025|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
