0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO SERVE

0012|     PEOPLE ON THE DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY WAIVER WAITING LIST;

0013|     DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Six million dollars
    |
0017|     ($6,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0018|     department of health for expenditure in fiscal years 1997 and
    |
0019|     1998 to serve approximately six hundred people on the
    |
0020|     developmental disabilities waiver waiting list.  Any unexpended
    |
0021|     or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year
    |
0022|     1998 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0023|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0024|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
