0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR

0012|     AT-RISK TEENAGE PARENTS.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION--TEENAGE PARENTS.--Two hundred
    |
0016|     twenty-five thousand ($225,000) is appropriated from the
    |
0017|     general fund to the vocational education division of the state
    |
0018|     department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0019|     1998 for the purpose of providing high school education
    |
0020|     programs for at-risk teenage parents statewide.  Funding shall
    |
0021|     be used to provide classes in basic parenting, nutrition and
    |
0022|     hygiene skills as well as child care for teenage parents.  Any
    |
0023|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0024|     fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund.
